Meeting Chase And Marshall At National Forest Adventure Farm
We have been big fans of the National Forest Adventure Farm for years now, we always try to get a few trips in each year, especially in the summer when the farm really comes to life.
I spotted an advert of Facebook for a Paw Patrol meet and greet day and knew we had to go. We decided against going to an event day last year (the unicorn day) and I have regretted it ever since. The themed days are so much fun and we are definitely planning to go to this years Unicorn event.
Unfortunatly the weather was not on our side on our day, in fact we woke up to snow which then quickly turned into heavy rain. Not ones to let a bit of rain get in our way, we grabbed our wellies and rain coats and off we went.
Thankfully the meet and greet area was under a big marquee so we were nice and dry whilst we waited. The characters, Chase and Marshall, came out to the shows theme tune and did a little dance on a raised platform, afterwards they came to each family to say a quick hello and take a photo with them. The characters made an appearance each hour too and there is no limits on how many times you go to see them.
As it was early March all the animals were indoors which is a good job really as the rain was relentless. We headed into the barn to feed the animals, there are chicks, birds, rabbits and guinea pigs, goats, alpacas, pigs cows and donkeys. Throughout the day there are also opportunities to feed the baby lambs, groom the ponies and go on tractor rides.
During March, the lambing live tent is also set up where there is potential to see lambs being born, we didn’t see anything but there were THE cutest newborn baby lambs inside.
The outdoor play area was not somewhere we ventured in the rain, although in nicer weather it is amazing! Instead we went into the Softplay, which was huge and also included in the price. The softplay had plenty to keep children of all ages occupied including huge slides, a lego area and a dedicated toddler section.
We are really looking forward to going back throughout the year, hopefully to the Halloween and Christmas events too!
