August Goals

I am the worlds biggest procrastinator, my head is so full of ideas and things that I want to do yet I manage to do absolutely fuck all. So I figured if I write stuff down, it’s permanent then, and I have no choice but to stick to it right? That’s the theory anyway, I’m going to jot down just a few manageable things that I would like to achieve in the coming month. I’m hoping actually ticking stuff off a list will really improve my mindset and productivity. I will update how I get on in next months post.

I love reading yet I don’t remember the last time I picked up a magazine let alone a book. I have so many books that I’ve bought in the last couple of months, ok, maybe longer than that, that I haven’t read yet. I’m making it my mission to read at least two of those. I have seen a few accounts on Instagram starting up insta book clubs and it’s really inspired me to get reading again.

Lose 7lb 

It’s no secret that I have put on weight since having Poppy and I’m just not taking care of myself. I LOVE food so I’m never going to be a size 8 again but I would like to lose some weight. I don’t feel the healthiest right now and I have zero energy, my aim for this month is to make better food choices and move my ass more. I think a 7lb loss is more than achievable.

Get out walking

Talking of moving my ass more, I’d like to get out walking again. I used to walk to town regularly or down the canal but now the only place I walk is around supermarkets, not exactly the most energetic workout! I love walking, It makes me happy and clears my head but the last couple of years my anxiety has got the better of me and I no longer feel comfortable going out but I’m going to change that, I have to.

Plan content and stick to it!

I have majorly slacked on the blog front since Poppy was born, that was 8 months ago now and I still don’t have my shit together. I tell myself I will work when the kids are in bed, but when it comes to it I’m just so tired I can’t be bothered. I need to set certain nights as working nights I think and actually stick to them. Every month I plan out content and every month I don’t end up sticking to it, my goal this month is to try and create all the content I said I would!
