5 Of The Best Family Attractions in Tenerife

July 18, 2018

Next year is the year, the year we finally go on holiday abroad as a family of 5, we love our UK holidays but just lately I have been getting the itch to travel further afield. It will be the first time the girls have been abroad. Mine, Andy’s and Jack’s first time abroad strangely enough was to Tenerife so It’s going to have to be the girls first holiday too, I’m a sucker for a tradition. I’ve been looking at cheap Tenerife holidays 2019 online to find the best place for our family. We have all stayed in Playa De Las Americas but I think for the girls booking somewhere a little quieter may be best. Tenerife is a great family holiday destination, I have already been planning where to take the girls. Here are 5 of the best family attractions in Tenerife which we hope to visit.

5 Of The Best Family Attractions in Tenerife

Siam Park

Siam Park has been voted as the number one water park in the world by TripAdvisor. Offering a whole range of waterslides, you will find something to suit the whole family. Little ones are catered for in their own area that has fifteen slides, waterfalls and water canons. For the thrill seekers there is a 28 metre high slide and a water coaster as well as a wave pool with the largest artificial waves in the world. Siam Park is also home to the longest lazy river in the world.

Loro Parque

I’m not the biggest fan of dolphins and whales being kept to preform and personally would not watch but I have visited the park before and had a great day, kids love this place and there is plenty to do. Loro Parque is home the largest penguin habitat, something my little girl would love to see as penguins are her favourite. There is a whole variety of animals to see here, It’s definitely a day trip worth doing.

Whale and dolphin watching on a catamaran

I much prefer to see the dolphins and whales in their natural habitat so a catamaran or boat ride out to sea to watch them is a must do for me. I did this last time I went and it was amazing to see them jumping out of the water next to the boat. My girls are going to love this.

Mount Teide

Last time I visited Tenerife we decided against going to Mount Teide, I really wish I’d have gone however and it’s definitely on the list for next time we visit. It’s not everyday you can take a day trip to the top of a volcano. The whole family would love this one.

Submarine Safari

This is a fairly new attraction at Tenerife but how amazing does it sound! The submarine will take you over 100ft below the Atlantic ocean to explore the aquatic life. Each seat gets it’s own window to look out of plus a TV screen showing alternative angles so you don’t miss out on anything. What an awesome experience this would be.
