Providing healthy food for our babies is something that most families thankfully don’t have to worry about, however alarmingly more and more parents are turning to food banks for help. The lovely people over at Piccolo firmly believe that no child should go hungry, which is why they have launched their Piccolo One for One campaign.
Their aim is to reduce child hunger by donating Piccolo pouches to those in need. To do this they have teamed up with some of Britain’s top food banks and charities to make sure little ones do not go hungry.
Through the One for One campaign Piccolo will donate at least 100,000 pouches to those that need them the most. By donating the pouches, parents all over the country will be able to feed their babies and toddlers the nutritious meals that they so desperately need.
Piccolo are already committed to giving back, they currently give 10% of profits to charity. The One for One campaign however is their biggest standalone charitable project to date.
Cat Gazzoli, Founder of Piccolo, says: “At Piccolo, we have always been passionate about giving back, and that’s why we’re so proud to be launching our One for One campaign. Feeding babies can be stressful at the best of times, which is why we are determined to support those who really do need our help by donating a Piccolo pouch for every pouch bought. We think the work done by these charities is invaluable, so we want to support them however we can.”
How you can support the Piccolo one for one campaign
For every Piccolo pouch bought until the end of the year , another one will be donated directly to a food bank or children’s charity to help support those parents struggling to feed their little ones. Pouches can be found in Morrisons, Asda, Waitrose and Boots, along with health food retailers and independent shops all over the country.
Even though Ava is a toddler now I still buy the piccolo fruit pouches for her, she has turned into a bit of a fussy eater at the minute but I can always guarantee she will happily tuck into a fruit pouch. We are proud to support the Piccolo One for One campaign.
