The Boots Christmas gift guide is out so that means I can officially mention the C word now right? In the last few years non chocolate advent calendars have been big news with more and more options becoming available. Personally I love the idea of alternative advent calendars, I’m not the biggest chocolate lover so they are perfect for me. As a child I would much rather of had a toy than a tiny cheap chocolate. Not that I’ve got anything against traditional advent calendars of course! I have put together a little list of some of my favourite non chocolate advent calendars for toddlers, kids and teens.
My favourite non chocolate advent calendars
This is my personal favourite purely because Ava absolutely loves Happyland. The size of the figures in this make it a great for younger ones. This is currently out of stock online however they had stock in my local Mothercare store the other day and there is also a notify me option on the website.
This is another fab choice for younger ones. There is a Toot Toot drivers option available as well.
Last year I decided to do a book advent for Ava as she was only 10 months old. You can read my post all about it by clicking the above link. The best thing about it is, she wont remember last Christmas so it means I can wrap them all up again to use this year!
This one would be perfect for those that are a little too old for the Happyland and Toot Toot calendars.
Currently on offer for £20, I think this is a fab idea for an alternative children’s calendar. What kid doesn’t love a bit of playdoh? (sorry parents)
Lego advent calendars are the first non chocolate options I remember seeing. As well as the classic Star Wars options there are now Lego Friends and City options so there really is something to suit everyone.
This section was a lot harder than I thought it would be, It would appear that unless you like Make-up/beauty stuff there isn’t really many options for you. I couldn’t find any teenage ‘boy’ ones which was a bit disappointing really.
This is by far the dearest one in the list and you only get 12 days worth, but the products you get do look like quality items and I know a lot of teenagers are completely obsessed with Zoella. It is in the Boots 3 for 2 Christmas gift offer which makes the price a little more bearable if you have other items you want to buy from there anyway.
Currently on offer for £20. I was not planning on including both Zoella and Tanya’s calendars but I know the are both popular. I personally watch Tanya’s Vlogmas videos every christmas and she always shows whats in her calendar, all the products look fab.
A more affordable option and you get the full 24 days with this one, I’m sure any make up loving teen would love this calendar.
Keep an eye out for my next non chocolate advent calendar instalment which will be aimed at adults, Gin calendar anyone?
