Being a new mum is hard, scrap that, being a mum in general is hard, but as a first time mum those first few weeks will take some adjusting to, carrying on your normal daily routine will become pretty much impossible for a while, so I’ve listed my top 5 products to help make those first weeks a little easier
This is a lifesaver! You may not always have chance or the energy to wash your hair as often as you’d like, so dry shampoo is a must have. I’ve tried different brands but in my opinion Batiste seems to be the best.
Or any cereal bar really, babies have some kind of sensor built in that alerts them when you want to get yourself something to eat (or do anything in general) they will then cry at the precise moment you go to open the fridge or sit down with a nice cuppa, add the fact that to start with your baby will be pretty much attached to you, you need food that can be grabbed and eaten one handed. I think I pretty much lived on cereal bars and anything that I could eat in seconds before I was summoned again
You are going to be spending a lot of your time imprisoned under a sleeping baby, you might as well make the most of it a binge watch some TV shows at the same time, especially seeing as you will be binge watching Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig and Ben and Holly in the not to distant future, FYI these are all on Netflix.
No offence but I’m afraid you are going to look like crap for a while, sleepless nights are kind to no one.This beauty however will help you look a little more human and a little less ‘mombie’
And lastly pamper products
It’s really important to remember to take care of your self when you have a baby, your life now revolves around them and that can get a little overwhelming. So get yourself a nice Lush bath bomb, a face-mask and a cheeky little glass of something nice and just relax for a while, trust me, you will feel so much better.
