When you live in a small town like I do, finding baby groups requires some serious detective work! I never even thought to check the library, I think once you get past a certain age you kinda forget about the library, everything is downloaded or looked up these days isn’t it. The library is an amazing space to take little ones though, not only is it free, they often run baby groups too.
There is a library literally at the end of my street which runs a story time session every week, the lovely lady that runs it reads stories for approx 20 minutes and then she hands out musical instruments and we sing nursery rhymes for 10 minutes. Ava absolutely loves it and we always get some new books to bring home with us too. As a stay at home mom anything that saves us money is good in my books! They run a bounce and rhyme session at the other library in my town, we haven’t been to that one yet as we are normally busy when it’s on, but I’ve heard good things about it and hope to try it soon.
The library also runs activities in the school holidays too, often with fun reading challenges, mine even puts on the occasional children’s party.
Why not see what’s on a your local library, you may be pleasantly surprised.
Thanks for reading
Love Amy xx
