The Christmas tag
As you know I bloody love Christmas so when I saw the Christmas tag post on Paige’s paradise blog I just had to join in and answer the questions myself, there’s something really lovely about writing down all the things you love about Christmas.
What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?
Bit controversial but the film I must watch at Christmas is Diehard, I bloody love it and before you question it’s eligibility it’s set on Christmas Eve! Other than that I LOVE Home Alone 1 and 2, and The Holiday, and Elf, and….. the list goes on!
Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
We each open one present on Christmas Eve and then the rest first thing Christmas morning.
Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
My favourite memory is as a little girl, the excitement that santa was coming and trying desperately to get to sleep so the morning would come quicker, I’d wake up at 5 (still do) and run downstairs to open my presents. As I was an only child there would always be loads of presents, not expensive ones but there would be sacks full! I only hope that my children feel the same excitement and happiness as I did on Christmas morning.
Favourite festive food?
Erm… here’s where my Christmas love ends, I don’t like mince pies, Christmas pudding or even Christmas dinner. I am however partial to a chocolate or two and a cheeky glass of baileys.
Favourite Christmas gift?
This is a hard one and I can’t possibly pick one! Last year my husband bought me a scrabble tile picture with all our names that made me cry quite a bit.
Favourite Christmas scent?
Again I’m not really into traditional Christmas scents, I know, call myself a Christmas lover! I much prefer the sweeter scents, candy cane lane Yankee candles are probably my fave.
Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
No matter how old my kids get we always leave cookies and milk (baileys) out for santa and a carrot for rudolph, we sprinkle reindeer dust and watch Christmas movies. I can’t wait for Ava to join in with the traditions.
What tops your tree?
A star ⭐️
As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
I’m pretty sure like every kid I wanted a pony/dolphin/entire animal sanctuary!
What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
The best part of Christmas for me is spending time with loved ones and seeing the happiness on everyone’s faces especially my children.
If you would like to join in the Christmas tag on your own blog/social media, a blank copy of the questions are over on the lovely Paige’s blog
Thanks for reading
